looks like fun. Are you reusing all the relay and digital input boards? Were they just TTL digital io to the old Num control? I think that is how our old Num 1040 works. The fiber optic remote io pannels our machine also has are a little more intimidating to try to think about integrating.

I am removing those input boards but reusing all the relay boards. Saves alot of work and money and they have built in snubbers already on the boards. I dont know what those input boards put out back to the control but you see I installed a 7i70 there so they will just plug into the 7i70 and I have to find the other sides which is common Positive they are using so should be easy.
I found connectors for the relay ribbon cables that output wires so they will plug right into the 7i77, and they are positive trigger with common ground, so it is going to be so easy.

To be honest for 5v supplies I usually just mount an outlet and plug in a cheap wall wart. But a quick google brings up this.

It is fewer characters.
As an example, on my machine
hm2_5i24.0.8i20.0.1.current
becomes
hm2_8i20.003b.current

Whats the advantage beside being able to move from port to port without changing the hal?
I see it as a disadvantage because you have to type more characters.

They look identical toLeadshine Meanwell units.
