Ok here is how i think i sud act
i want to by mesa components conservative
i will by one piece of 5i24 with the proposed daughter card and 1 pcs of 8i20
(i think that is what needed)
then on a bench i will connect each one of the motors to test the connectivity
but also the condition of the motor it self
Any thoughts on that?

You could, first, try reading the encoders with your existing Mesa hardware. This would require a custom firmware with a Fanuc encoder on the 7i77(?) expansion port.

You should be able to count them by turning the shaft with a small current applied to one pair of windings.

Hi
what i can not understand is that for the fanuc b-0,5/3000 you can find all the info on the label (previous picture ) and for a larger motor like the a12/3000
you have to use an instrument to find the poles of the motor
also i can not find in the manual the wiring diagram for the connector
strange ...
