You unzip the 5i25.zip file. cd to 5i25/configs/hostmot2 and type:
sudo mesaflash --device 5i25 --write 5i25_7i77x2.bit
then
sudo mesaflash --device 5i25 --reload

The file has to be in the directory you are giving the command or you have to include the full path to the file in the command.
So copy just the bit file you want to your home directory and run the command again.
Linux is like a Formula Ford, you need to put the effort in to get the most out.

I’m having trouble copying the file any where. I double click the file and tried both option. “Open” or “extract”.

Without any error messages or a description of going on it's near nigh impossible to work out what the error is.
Usually I just right click on the zip file and click on "extract here", which will extract the files into a directory, in your cased called 5i25, that is the same name as the zip file.

If you are having issues it maybe best to use google to search how to extract files on your particular version of Linux.

I'm pretty sure it is the 2.7.14 debian wheezy freshly Installed on a SSD hardrive a couple of months ago.

I tried what you said
(Usually I just right click on the zip file and click on "extract here)
without luck.
It's very frustrating when the correct software should already be installed on the cards on top of trying to navigate a new operating system.

Thank for all your help by the way.

Peter
