in the dyn4 drives you can set the steps per rev to get the most out of the motors. for this i have it set to 2000 steps per rev. the highest i can go in motor steps per rev in pncconf is 1000

I would just enter the step scale directly in steps/mm or steps/inch

I would ignore the calculator and just enter the number of steps per machine unit

I tried this and it gave the same result. I checked the servo drive firmware and it still set to 2000 per tation. It might be something I'm missing in the drive.

1. What is your screw pitch?
2. Are the screws directly driven?
3. Are you using mm on inches?

The screws are 5tpi direct drive and pncconf is in inches. Although the machine will be used in mm. I have one of the motors off the machine for testing

OK if the motor has 2000 steps per revolution and you are using a 5TPI
screw, the step scale is 2000x5 = 10000 steps per inch

If you wanted the basic machine units to be in mm, the
step scale would be 393.70079 steps per mm

I'm not sure what's going on but for some reason I've never got motion when it's been set in millimeters
