Is this for a plasma machine? The Z usually has a switch at the top

Have set this up with pncconf

Might be a good idea to post your hal and ini files

It wont let me click anything. so i cant press home all, nor can i toggle the limit switch

You don't have any HOME_SEQUENCE = numbers in the ini file

What do you mean by:- " nor can i toggle the limit switch"

I would suggest you use halshow to see if the switches are toggling

Sorry I meant e-stop. Oki thought that was strange, but I entered the sequence in the PnCConf Wizard page. Why isn’t it showing up then?

Where would I add it and what exactly would it look like?

You can add it by editing the ini file using notepad or any text editor but not windows

like this
HOME_SEARCH_VEL = 40
HOME_LATCH_VEL = -2
HOME_FINAL_VEL = 50

HOME_SEQUENCE = -2
HOME_USE_INDEX = False
HOME_IGNORE_LIMITS = True

you will need it for each axis with the correct sequence numbers starting with 0 and -ve the the gantry

Ok once I’m back at my machine I’ll add the homing sequence. Is there a reason that my PnCConf wizard isn’t creating the ini file right? I’ve had issues like this in the past

If you don't select homing pins for all axis pncconf doesn't set up home sequence properly.

I’ll be away for 2 weeks so I won’t be able to do anything with the table. Just putting it here so it doesn’t seem like this topic is dead

I’m back. And I’m at a complete loss for what’s going on. I have min and max limit switches for all motors. I have them set up as home as well. I grounded everything but the LEDs on my Mesa 7i96 board light up for the inputs with the switches. They switches are wires as normally opened. When I unconnect the switches though (bc they are no Linux doesn’t know if they are actually connected or not) it should still allow me to home. But I cannot do anything in Linux it just shows me the screen and everything is unclickable
