Since my last post here we have made several significant changes and improvements to hazzy.

  • The file chooser has been replaced with a full featured file manager. Supports all standard file and folder actions such as cut, copy, paste, rename, new file/folder, move to trash, save as, etc. all in a touchscreen friendly interface.
  • The code has been rearranged to make it more flexible and modular. This is in preparation for adding support for user customizeable display panels and notebook tabs
  • Several of the components such as the file manager, touchpads and dialogues have been made into stand alone modules so they can easily be used with custom panels

The interface is still far from complete, but it is functional and progressing well, thanks to a bunch of help from TurBoss!

May be asking to much, but the posibility to change the color would be nice.
I like everything black so the color you chose is very well suited for me, but it would give others the posibility to make it more personal.
Thank you,
Tom

Tom, I have been thinking about how best to make hazzy's appearance customizeable. The button appearances and a few other things can be modified by changing the GTK theme, but the GUI's background is made up of images so it will not change with the theme. I thought about maybe including three or four sets of images with different colors, but that gets cumbersome. I guess since all the images are inkscape SVG's is would be fairly easy for the user to just change the images, but I don't like that as it is not very convenient to have to change each image. I might be able to change the colors of the SVGs from code though, I will have to see about that.

Maybe the best solution is just to chose colors and hope everyone likes it well enough :)

Thanks Tommy!
