Configuring a Floating Head

I think the only jumpered options are 192.168.1.121 or 10.10.10.10 unless you changed the 10.10.10.10 with mesaflash.

If you did then you will need to edit the HAL file to the correct address.

I don't think i did anything with Mesaflash, i just followed this video bc it was the only one i could find that was easy seemed right and was for the 7i96 and linuxcnc.



in the video we changed the jumpers and have the address as 10.10.10.11. its been working so far so im not sure.

How is your computer ethernet set up?

Address: 10.10.10.11 Netmask: Gateway 10.10.10.1 DNS servers: 10.10.10.1

Again, i just followed the video. the manual was too hard for me to understand what meant what to me. This is my first project like this.

can i make it so that the plasmac works with 10.10.10.11?

Netmask should be 8, I dont think you need a gateway or DNS.

Can you ping the 7i96?

I can ping 10.10.10.11
