I'm sorry, i was missing it for some reason. I found it, but i get an error message when trying to open it. Please forgive me for my constant overlooking of things

Have you set the jumpers on the 7i96 correctly for this IP address?hm2_eth: ERROR: 10.10.10.10: Could not retrieve mac address

i believe i have it set to 10.10.10.11. should i change it?

I think the only jumpered options are 192.168.1.121 or 10.10.10.10 unless you changed the 10.10.10.10 with mesaflash.
If you did then you will need to edit the HAL file to the correct address.

I don't think i did anything with Mesaflash, i just followed this video bc it was the only one i could find that was easy seemed right and was for the 7i96 and linuxcnc.
in the video we changed the jumpers and have the address as 10.10.10.11. its been working so far so im not sure.
