Tommy, do you use a locale other than English when you set up machines? (Especially ones where thc-feed-rate remains zero despite being on a later version of QtPlasmaC)?

What should i use? Albanian is not an option !

Nah, always English, even keyboard is always English despite having all kinds of layouts.

It will still not work on Linux, the current user has to be added to the "dialout" group.

dialout:x:20: my user name..

Just got another HY VFD, same thing. So up until now, I have used 2 PC`s, linuxcnc 2.7, linuxcnc with update, linuxcnc 2.8 and got same error - error reading setup from VFD.. What should I do next?

I presume you can see your RS485 adaptor with terminal command?

Command not found.
I tried apt-get install usbutils
Gives me: 'usbtutils' has no installation candidate..
I run
sudo apt-get update and then, again apt-get install usbutils, same error - no candidate
