Sorry mate, recheck my post, I edited to be a bit more correct.
The noauto option might only work on the master branch, ie: 2.8.

bengt@CNC3000 ~/linuxcnc-dev/debian $ ./configure uspace noauto
Package libxenomai-dev exists, but information about its source package
is not available. This most likely means that you do not have the
right deb-src lines in /etc/apt, or that you need to "apt-get update".

So did you enable the source code repositories thru Package Manager ?
Which branch of linuxcnc did you checkout 2.7 or master ?
Master has some differences in the hal files.
I'm just a "Dumb Aussie" called Murphy
If you have trouble with adding the source code repos the Linux Mint forums might be the place to try.......just ask about adding source code repositories.

Enable what files = been following this thread thats all
Just got RT working and trying to get 2.7.13 installed and here I am with no-go
So not interested in master for now until I get this PC on the road with Mint or something else but not Debian Stretch as it will not work with this PC.
Why does it have to so bloody painful to get Linux to work
