Not much point in using it, unless you want to compile Linuxcnc every time there is an update.
Best option is to follow Tommy's instructions for Linuxcnc & Mint 19.3, then you can use the official Linuxcnc repos to update.

Ok, just come across this....Sometime ago i installed this ISO ( i think)of Mint 19.2 w/Linuxcnc and plasmac. It currently works good I dont want to break it, so never update anything?

It should be safe to doI do this on all my PC's nearly every day, all use Mint 19.3 as i reverted back from 20.1, it had to much issues with Python 3 and LinuxCNC stuff.
Use at your own risk.
sudo apt-get update

You’ll have to remove the lines that point to my old repo otherwise apt will have a bitch & moan.
Linuxcnc should be able to be updated from the official repos.
If only my brain chemistry could fixed as easily.
