Upgrade to version 1.2.4 and you can save the ini file even with errors as long as you have a configuration name. You can then open the ini again later and continue to work on it. Once you don't have any errors the hal files will build as well. Also, is there a way to save progress, even if currently the config won't build?
thanks,
Andy

I am using an mx4660 with a 7i92. I have the .bin and .pin files in the above location. The daughter card menus remain empty, and I can't continue with building a config until I've selected a daughtercard. Any way past this? The pin files and description files are in ~/.local/lib/libmesact/boards/name_of_board

Unfortunately MesaCT the daughters are hard coded, this is one of the many things I'm improving in MesaCT II. For now I'll have to add the MX4660, what version of MesaCT are you using?
I can add that in the morning... or just select the 7i92_5ABOBx2D.bit firmware and you can pick a stepper daughter card.

Thank you, I'm on 1.2.4 downloaded today. I should have thought to check the source code.
Separating that from the source code sounds like a good idea. I will play around with the bob file, do I have to change to that firmware on the card as well or will it work to fudge it?

No need to change the firmware on the card. The original idea was to make sure the correct firmware was selected but that proved to be problematic to program.

Got it to build a config with the BOB settings. LinuxCNC complains about pwmgen.06.enable missing and won't start.
I will dig into it tomorrow.

Hi,
I am moving my thread to this topic on advice from the moderators because my issues are MesaCT related.
Previous topic: Configuration problems 7i95t Mesa card with servo drives.
First, thanks in advance for all the help from this helpful community!
My situation is as follows: I have a Mesa 7i95T board (firmware: 7i95t_1pwmd.bin) to run T6 400w servo motors on my diy cnc router for cutting wood and aluminum.
I am running linuxCNC 2.9.1 amd 64 on Debian from this official website on a Lenovo thinkCenter small PC. And i am using MesaCT 2.1.2 to make the configuration but the configuration are only partially generated. I am missing the stepgen and all the axis/joints configurations. I have disabled secure mode in BIOS. I have reinstalled Linux and MesaCT two times. And logically i get folowing errors in linuxcnc trying to run these config files.
I am kind of lost for options to try which makes my whole build kind of in stuck. So all the help i can get will be much appreciated.
Thanks and kind regards,
Mattias

I'll look into this, the fastest way is to create a bug report.
All I need to recreate your configuration is the ini file.
The ini file is from 2.1.1...
