Ethercat installation from repositories - how to step by step

i followed the instructions, and successfully installed everything, what are the next steps to get the system up and running i am using L7 Ethercat leadshine servos, i have no idea how to setup cia402, this is my first time dealing with linux, need help

hello! I used to successfully use the "sudo apt install linuxcnc-ethercat" construct and it worked well, but now something is broken... it is impossible to establish a connection with the server...

 

Their key changed a while ago. You should not get this with 2.9.4
Otherwise there is a script on another sticky threads to fix this.

I get it in version 2.9.4.
everything worked during the day, broke in the evening.
how can I fix this?

try: sudo apt update and try again
It just worked for me. do you have internet access?

Hello,
I am installing ethercat but the communication light with the drivers is not flashing and it is not communicating with the drivers.
raspberry pi 5 
rpi-5-debian-bookworm-6.12.11-arm64-ext4-2025-01-27-0140.img.xz - linuxcnc 3.5.9
I used to use linuxcnc 2.9.3 and there was no problem.
