Linux based all in one anyone see whats under the hood yet?

Category: Computers and Hardware

Agree, most are running a proprietary embedded system, but this one is an ARM-based Linux system with 3d gpu. I wonder if it's a port of LinuxCNC and or we can mod it

5I25/6I25 config for 7I85 on P3 (ext DB25), 7I74 on P2 (internal header)

Only 3 sserial channels on the 7I85 (port 0) because of space considerations
All 8 sserial channels on port 1 (7I74)

I would not bother with it, especially after i have removed several and replaced with a normal PC and LinuxCNC.

Prepare for epic happiness.
It's a plasma system so many things are not needed/wanted in for example a milling machine.
The E7000 is my own ethercat torch height/io board, I'm rather confident you don't have that one.

I have not gotten the tormach V2.12 version of linuxcnc to compile.

Seems to be the consensus.

I have one Tormachs earlier versions (V2.10) to compile on Debian Stretch.

Do you have steps to make this work that you are willing to share?

Do you think this would compile on Bookworm?

I have v2.9 of Linuxcnc compiled and running on Debian Bookworm.

3.This version also does not differentiate between Joints and axes as Tormach has forked linuxcnc before the joints-axis patches were finalized.

Yea, that seems to be a lot of the complication with incorporating their 9 axis look ahead into our code base.

I am looking to first make a guide of sorts of re-producible steps to compile 2.10 (and 2.9 if they are vastly different, and then I would like to look at what is missing/divergent to get 2.12 to compile. From there, I would like to ask Tormach for the missing pieces (if any) and go from there.

Thanks for the replies. I guess updating Linux and LinuxCNC is the only option left. The machine is at an other location, I will try installing the updates when I'm there again.

I made some changes to the gmoccapy interface, added some custom buttons using the Glade editor if I remember correctly. Will these modifications be overwritten when I do the updates?

This is still not the build with the jerk limiting right?

Does PathPilot have jerk limiting? Or are you talking about the Grotius version?

I may have muddied the waters a bit, when I talked of the different versions, I thought maybe we were talking about their addition of “high speed machining” and possibly over generalizing it as Jerk Limiting.

Wenn ich ein Programm in Linuxcnc starte und ein Fehler beim Start auftritt
Leuchtet die CR6 LED Rot.
