There must be an issue with pathing differences between package installs and run in place installs...

Try this as a workaround from a terminal:Then restart linuxcnc again.

So many acronyms, I just assumed the db prefix was a database file name. Then again Daughter Board makes sense.

SUBROUTINE_PATH = ./:../../nc_files
USER_M_PATH = ./:../../nc_files/plasmac/m_files

But that's as far as I can get ?

Interestingly I made a sim from your config and it showed the same error but it did actually work. It also worked correctly on your gcode file.

Is it possible that your screen is "laggy" and does not update quick enough?

Means use Daughter Board pin names instead of the default FPGA connector pin names.
There is no file involved, just a structure in mesaflash that has the daughter board
pin/terminal block names. 'N' is the port,1,2,3 etc
