You seem to be missing 'loadrt' and 'addf' lines for the 'debounce' component.
#setp debounce.0.delay 1500
#net homeButton       xhc-hb04.button-home =>    debounce.0.4.in
#net homeCmd          debounce.0.4.out  => halui.home-all

Once the config is running you can use the 'Halconfiguration' tool by going to the settings page in gmoccapy and clicking on the button on the bottom right corner.
Then you can change to the Watch tab and select the pins 'axis.L.jog-enable', 'axis.L.jog-counts', 'axis.L.jog-scale' from the selector tab on the left ('L' being the axis letter you are testing). Confirm that '-enable' is true, '-counts' are changing when you turn the wheel on the pendant and that '-scale' is set to a sensible value.

OK. Here are the config files.
Anything in them that would hinder the jog wheel from working?
Edit1: Looking into the toolheight setter not ' responding' I found the HalShow button. Here the jog count is changing as I rotate it. so the signals are received by LinuxCNC. It's just not used or something. (BTW had the input pin for the probe wrong it was set to 31 but wired to pin 21...)
Edit2: the jog wheel works for the spindle and feed rate. But not on any of the 4 axis.

Also the debounce issue in the xhc-hb04.hal? "./xhc-hb04.hal:47: parameter or pin 'debounce.0.delay' not found"

I'm currently running the gmoccapy 3.4.9 GUI for LinuxCNC.
btw. any tips for a touchscreen interface (not Touchy)?

Yeah, this was it...
"inmux.00.input-00" is the correct pin...
I'll make sure to be talking to the correct pin next time, before i ask another stupid question :p

Comment out the error on line 53 (probably need to do this a few times) until it starts, then open halshow and work out the correct spelling

Laser Head Height Sensor – Looking for a Beta Tester

Category: Plasma & Laser

That is crazy! Still waiting for a 0-10v beckhoff module to arrive here. But just tonight I found a metal shim from a DRO mounting kit and some 3M decal self adhesive mounting glue strip panel beaters use. Press part on, glue peels off onto it then press it on where you wanted. So now my home switch triggers. The 8mm prox sensor would not see 12mm thick aluminium!

Limit Switches on 7i95T

Category: General LinuxCNC Questions

Hey (Time for my daily question),
I've switched my 7i96S with a 7i95T. (working with Pi 5 8GB / LinuxCNC 2.9.4)
After working with the Mesact i don't really understand how to implement the limit switches in my hal file.
Hardware sides everything is fine. The Switches are lighting up like they were when using the 7i96S.

It give me following Error:
Debug file information: Note: Using POSIX realtime ./main.hal:53: Pin 'hm2_7i95.inm.00.input-00' does not exist 25292

I have submitted my graduation project, so I have some space again to work on my plasma design. What do you think of it so far?The idea is to print all the gray parts in carbon-reinforced nylon

It will not be good for latency. Just tested to ping the Mesa card on the local computer - 0.15 ms, pinged another computer over WiFi - 2-4 ms.

Interesting, that grouping of pdoentries into individual PDOs reminds me of the software I use. But it isn't uncommon I have understood.
Anyway, the ethercat server writes diagnostic messages you can view with the "dmesg" command. Maybe you found something there?

Gmoccapy - spindle restarts at program stop

Hello, is there any progress to be made in solving the problem? I think it is very risky (especially on a lathe) if the spindle can start unexpectedly, but it can also cause problems on milling machines with tool changers.

Hello David
No further in removing the springs on my Maho 700C
After getting no progress in getting the hydraulic tool changer working I hung the spindle from a crane and connected the hydraulic lines in reverse. Almost straight away I noticed a hydraulic leak. Not yet fixed but likely the cause of my problem
I would never have seen the leak when the spindle housing was in place in the machine. A new o ring is required
thanks for your help
Cheers Chris

It happens that ethercat drives have inputs and outputs one can use for general purposes.
At least my Ect60s have a few. Meant for internal homing I think, but can be used for anything.
Check the drive specs.
