Raise tool on pause net working in V2.9

Perhaps some-one can advise me on this.

I have uninstalled the dist LinuxCNC (from deb 12) & installed the deb files from the link above (LINUXCNC - 2.9.2-168-ge7cd5217d9)
However now every time I go to run my gcode I get the following errors (always line 105)

Sat06 20:58: Started program from line 1
Sat06 20:58: Linear move on line 105 would exceed Y's negative limit

Please note I have tried several different files & these have been run previously & worked.
I am in the middle of the table & nowhere near the y limit.

I have included a copy of one of the gcodes.

Thanks
Alex

LS703 scales are 20um 11uApp and the interpolation is set to 5x
what ENCODER_SCALE must enter to ini config 1000 ?
20um/5um=4um / 4 for quadrature =1um -> 1000 ENCODER_SCALE

Remora - ethernet NVEM / EC300 / EC500 cnc board

Category: Computers and Hardware

Hmm, the Remora step generator is blind to any scaling. It just receives a step frequency command from LinuxCNC (Remora component). So I'd be thinking somthing to do with the trajectory, axis and joint configuration.

What do you really get for a $350 desk top engraver ?

Category: Show Your Stuff

i came into about 200 lbs of random off cuts and have to square a lot of material so it's not so random in size. did another test with a 1/2 3 flute to see how the bigger cutter would do. The machine did fine but my homemade work holding is the weak link :) the parts are starting to lift up so not very practical but fun to watch :) .03 DOC @ 625IPM with almost full width of the tool for a stepover.

[ Vfdmod ] An easy VFD control over MODBUS RTU

Category: HAL

OK - I am at a loss with MB2HAL - I want VFDMOD!  Question is how do I get it for an architecture that is very new on the block - Pi5?  The arm64 side of things is dealt with in the arm64 release for Pi. I have been looking into recompiling VFDMOD for arm64, but having followed the QT route it seems there are a couple of fiiles that are missing, namely hal.c and hal.h. The quote form one of the posts states words to the effect "... get QT and rebuild" - but it aint't that easy. Or is it?

Probe Basic "single block" & "feed stop" behavior

Category: QtPyVCP

The differences you noticed between 'standard' single-block and feed hold in Fanuc, Siemens, etc, and LinuxCNC are not limited to the Probe Basic screen/GUI. The two functions are part of LinuxCNC, not just the GUI program.

Changing the behavior to match typical industrial control behavior would take a significant effort in some of the deep-backstage LCNC code.  This has been discussed many times on the forum, but I don't think there's anyone in a position to re-write the code who is interested in making the effort to change things.

There are some workarounds available:

new to linux

Category: General LinuxCNC Questions

Hello,
I am new to linuxcnc system and want to know how I set my home for Z setting. X and Y work fine. When I home Z then do the tool touch off it rehomes my Z to that depth, thus cutting too deep. What settings do I need to do to keep the Z at my zero home and have the cutter travel down to the top surface to begin the cuts at the programmed depth.
Please help.
Thanks
Jeff

The reason I choose the five board solution for my lathe, was because I knew I would want multiple smart serial daughter boards. (At least one 7i84, and one, probably two 7i73's). The 5i25 would need a bit of firmware configuring to connect up further SS to it's pinhead connector, to expand beyond the single SS channel of the 7i77, whereas the 7i85 offered 5 SS channels as it's default config.

The Mesa hardware is very flexible, so you can achieve your goals with a number for different cards. I am considering even adding a second 7i84 to the lathe, as I ran out of 24V outputs.

I finally got it!

I found the step per revolution parameter.
However I cannot found how can I manage to make the motor faster. I am using a 1:9 gearbox, I put de step per revolution higher and lower and calculated the stepper scale, but the speed will always be the same, because the stepper scale do that.

How can I manage to make the motor run faster?

ini and terminal output attached.

Looks like I need to clean up a few of the hal toolchange connections, but I don't think that would affect the issue with the dropdown menus.
