It's simple: divide the encoder resolution by the screw pitch.

Hello, I use an AC servo with an EC interface. With a normal servo you set the steps on the encoder and then enter the steps in the controller.

My question is, is this also done with the Ethercat servo? I don't have any experience with servos like this. Or is it done in the Lcnc settings?

If this is the wrong forum, please move it, thanks

Yes that seems to work.
Note: Running './installer' ends with an error when trying to open a config in the end. But opening a new terminal then running 'source scripts/rip-environment' fixes it.

Help me solve big latency (INTEL NUC7 / Pentium J5005 )

Category: Computers and Hardware

Thank you for your advice, everyone.

I got this result so far. (90 μsec jitter) really improved.

My question is " Is 90 μsec jitter is good enough to run LinuxCNC with MESA(Ethernet FPGA Stepper) ?

Remora - Rpi Software Stepping Using External Microcontroller via SPI

Category: Computers and Hardware

anyone looking to use the new thing with RPi5, keep in mind, you need to use the new firmware also. Right now Ive added a precompiled firmware for octopus446 and more will be added later but you can compile your own in the meantime

The ones in red can be removed, but it is very OK to leave them on.
The ones in blue should have the same thing as the ones in green.
I know it is working, but i like it done properly. :)

Hi Arciera,

Had the same error's as you had, can not find liblinuxcnchal.so.0
But before that, i had symbol errors. Can not find tp....

Now after a few moments... it works here.
It looks to me like building liblinuxcnchal, motmod and tpmod must have a build order to properly be linked.
Therefore liblinuxcnc hal is now also build by the cmake system, to avoid errors.

Belos is a new clone from the linuxcnc repository. History can be seen now. And we can synchronize so now and then.
Then added the cmake dir and scripts to it. It seems to work now.

linuxcnc

It builds the original motmod, as we now can focus on the tpmod.
