(if your RC-servo has a 1.5 ms center value and 1 ms is -90 degrees and 2 ms is +90 degrees)

Both drawings are wrong, but not your fault as the whole internet refers to 0V as gnd, and that is wrong for the last 30 or more years. Skipping that...
In short, ground from mains to ground bar, from ground bar to power supply, another one from bar to motor frame or motor ground wire, encoder shield to ground bar. No more.
If you have betetr quality drives, use only two wires for step and two for dir, wire step+ to step/pulse+ and step- to step/pulse-, same for dir pins.

I can tell only from my experience, i set SUBROUTINE_PATH and USER_M_PATH in [RS274NGC] section.

Maybe should have posted in one of the JT's MesaCT topics, seems he has not seen this.

Not sure, but i think subroutines should be set executable in permissions.

I'm struggling trying to get the HAL setup correctly.  1st the vBox slider value doesn't appear to be scaled. 

 

Are the controls for rcpwmgen only rate, width, offset, and scale?

What am I missing, seems like a simple control

     

 

@Ray_TL00 As far as I know you should be able to install Debian 12 on i386:
cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/current/i386/iso-cd/

And install the rt kernel: sudo apt install linux-image-rt-686-pae

If it cannot find the kernel you might need to add the arch:
sudo dpkg --add-architecture i686

After installing the kernel, reboot and: sudo apt install linux-headers-$(uname -r)

Then install linuxcnc: sudo apt install linuxcnc-uspace linuxcnc-uspace-dev

I have been thinking and reading some more and I think that if I can find a way to access the system variables #<_current_tool> and #<_selected_tool> from within a G/O-Code subroutine, I think I can find a way to do this.

If I haven’t overlooked something important, a subroutine to return the current tool from the spindle to its pocket and retrieving the requested tool from its pocket and inserting it into the spindle shouldn’t be too diffucult, since all the tool-carousel moves, except the carousel rotation, are controlled by pneumatic cylinders. All the tools in the carousel have fixed pockets, so it is relatively easy to keep track of their positions.

I might be totally wrong here, but I will give it a go and see if I can make it work.

I will keep you posted.

And if you have any hints, tips, tricks or suggestions regarding this, please let me know.

Damn, it got to 10$ in price! I got mine for 5$ each right before the pandemic started.

no need to apologize tommylight. I tried finding that exact board and for some reason I can't find it here in 
the states, instead I got what was pictured earlier. Hopefully it works out. I will be testing the other SSR still to
see if it can be PWM'd to any usable effect or if it is completely unusable for anything other then a switch.

This is what I am doing (reading the frequency directly) and it works very well.
