LinuxCNC 3.4.6? I don't recognise that version number. 2.4.6 exists (but is very, very, old). The latest released version is 2.9.4

Anyway, the macros all work in feed-per-rev mode, so rely on a spindle encoder existing and being properly configured. Do you have a spindle encoder?
(It would be a simple case of editing the various .ngc files to operate in units/second mode, if not)

Do not set tandem axis, it does not work without home switches.
Set it as a normal XYZ machine and wire the two Y motors/drives to the same stepgen/output, be it physically or in hal.

If you want to execute a G-code file on pressing a PyVCP button, then I don't think that PyVCP supports this.
You can do it with G-code subroutines and action buttons in GladeVCP or QTVCP though. linuxcnc.org/docs/html/gui/gladevcp.html...an_o_word_subroutine

However, would just changing the default G-code file to be your G-code rather than the Axis splash screen do what is needed?

How do I catch the loadusr process termination signal in LinuxCNC 2.9.2?

Category: HAL

Existing code appears to expect either SIGINT or SIGTERM:

github.com/LinuxCNC/linuxcnc/blob/master..._intf/halui.cc#L2405

If halui quits on exit from Axis, then I would suspect a problem in your code, otherwise it would look like a wider question.

Hello,
I'm new to Linux CNC. I've installed the macros and can also enter inputs in the mask. When I start the machine, the spindle starts rotating, but nothing else happens.
Both axes aren't moving.
Can anyone give me a tip as to what might be causing this?

LinuxCNC 3.4.6

Thanks

I would like, while waiting for the final hardware, to try nvem v5 and remora with this TB6560 JP-1635A driver installed on Y.
This driver has an EN input that I leave disconnected, as I was advised, I also tried to connect to COM + but without results.
I read these:
remora-docs.readthedocs.io/en/latest/har...thernet/rt1052.html#

remora-docs.readthedocs.io/en/latest/software/hal-examples.html

linuxcnc.org/docs/html/integrator/stepper-timing.html

the problem is this stepper movement is not smooth and the movements are too short:
youtube.com/shorts/Hnpl1kUg8-o

If someone is so kind to take a look at my configuration mess and help me solve it I would be grateful, even if I am thinking that the problem is the connections of this obsolete driver.

I also tried on mach 3 with its original controller and the stepper moves correctly(But have all 4 pin connected)

I have never converted my st-link v2 to DAP for flash rt1052. I have read almost all the posts in this discussion (I take this opportunity to thank Scott and all those who brought the work to this point) Scott in some posts says that the DAP does more harm than good, not only that it is better to use a picoprobe as a device, I initially failed and did not want to modify the only st-link I had so I ordered a dap and a picoprobe as per tuxcnc link (I take this opportunity to thank tuxcnc who solved the problem with his posts) but before their arrival I solved the flash. I can't understand why it didn't work initially. Will the SDK software for rt1052 be the solution?

I can't move IRQ on just core 3, it stays between 2 and 3.
I created 2 startup scripts that do nothing but move irq at startup to be sure I used smp_affinity_list + smp_affinity but nothing core 2 always has to do with IRQ 26! Does anyone know a way to move it? Change kernel version? Now I'm with 6.1. 0-33-rt-amd64 in theory with an upgrade I should have 6.1. 0-34-rt-amd64 but I don't think it solves the problem.
