You are correct I have a paid license. I used to use the free version some time ago and I don't remember it having that limitation but I know they have made multiple license changes over time for the free version which is unfortunate. Glad to see you have made a solution to work around it.

I'm trying to run a little test program, and it aborts with the fault message: 'Motor 0 Positionssfehler (sic!) Position: relativ erwartet' ('motor 0 positioning error position: relative expected').

I have a working configuration with LinuxCNC using AXIS and would like to try switching to Probe Basic.  I've gone thru the Pncconf trying to create a Probe Basic configuration and it seems to require configuration of Mesa cards which I don't have.  I'm using direct GPIO into a Rpi hat, which isn't directly supported from the standard stepconf tool either, but I was hoping to do what I did with stepconf -- make a config that assumes normal Linux parallel port configuration, and then modify that to use the Rpi GPIO HAL.

I saw a reference to a Probe Basic sim configuration in another thread with the suggestion that someone with a working normal stepconf config could look at the Probe Basic sim config and see what modifications need to be made.  But I can't find that sim config.

Could someone point me in the right direction?

I found the file qtdragon_handler.py on my hard drive and copied it to my machine folder, and now it works.
So, it seems there's a path missing from my .INI file?

Thanks for the quick help.
Now I just deleted the comments in the Ini and the mistake has disappeared. But the comments were at least half a year without problems.
Something must have changed lately.
I left the comments in the change routine.

I will try to reply all your questions 
maximumm Y length : could be mostly infinite but more probably arround 10 to 50 m as I'm mainly intrested in kite building (or hot air balloons if it works ) 
fabric to be cut will be mainly spinaker nylon witch is unstrechable and has 2 different sizes of frame that make a small patern easyly sens by optical mouse sensors 
ESP cam is a great idea if it could keep track of move even when speed rising up mouse sensor is mainly a very low res grey scale cam 

fabric tension : first idea was only to add a bit aof static friction on non pulling side motors but torque management is a good point too 
it could also avoid me to do somthing I've not explain yet I was planning to make in cutting back plate 2 serries of holes and hook it to small but enough vacuum source to suck the fabric on the back plate and cut between tow lines of holes 

to avoid wrinkles and other disasters when roolling and unrolling already cut parts I was thinking doing some kind of timestamping or tabs like on pcb pannels or others flat milling machines or wood or composites pannels

Hi,

I’m guessing you’re using Fusion 360 with a paid license? I’m just a hobbyist and only use the free version (not for commercial work), which is much more limited. When I try to export multiple operations with different tools at once, Fusion 360 warns me that this isn’t possible in the free version—I have to save each operation as a separate file as suggested by fusion360. So, for LinuxCNC/Fusion360 users like me, the options are either to load each file separately in LinuxCNC (after each one ends), or to merge all files into a single program, which is what I do with my own script.

Even as a hobbyist, I often need toolchanges: most of my projects require a roughing pass with a large end mill and then finishing with a smaller tool.

Question:
Does anyone know if it’s possible to display a popup or notification when running an M0 or M1 g-code in the AXIS GUI? I’d like to give myself (or any user of my script) a clear notification to change tools, especially since when remapping M6 I lose the standard toolchange popup.

I'm using the file pause_pin_2023-09-18.py and I'm getting an error message.
I started LinuxCNC in the terminal with "linuxcnc -v My-Machine.ini" and I get this message:

How can I fix the error?

As far as mesaflash goes, make sure you do a:

sudo make install

or you will end up running the older preinstalled version of mesaflash.

(current mesaflash version is 3.5.13 )

As far as following errors go, they are expected in initial setup
of analog servo systems. For example, you have a 50% chance of
having the initial feedback direction wrong so you get an instant
runaway when the drives are first enabled.

Follow tommylights link for setup/tuning information.

This turned strange so i fired one of the laptops with 2.8.4 and sure enough it is not in Axis but it is in PlasmaC Axis as cane be seen in the attachment.
This should be included in normal Axis, although rarely needed, it is a good feature to have

PlasmaC uses it, i have it on several machines in daily use, so might be there....
Just checked the 2.10 on this PC, not there either...
