Yes I forgot to mention this. I have tested with the Plasamac postprocessor as well (the one I normally use with my QtPlasmac setup) with the same result. It works, if I deactivate the plasma_gcode_preprocessor in the Filter section of the INI but then I can obviously not use any of the advanced Monokrom features like hole detection.

Try this command and review results when completeThe max reading is usually the first entry as it connects so look at average and standard deviation.

That's quite an old video now. There are more reasons  in 2.10  to grin
In  2.10 there is a change to how Deb files are built by doing it the Debian way which installs all the dependencies for you. It is described in the building linuxcnc docs for 2.10. I do remember testing it prerelease and it was sooo simple,,, except for building the docs.

I have a problem with homing in the lcnc sim. First, i jog the axis xz and then try to home all axis, and it's works. But when i try to do that again, its only homing for the x axis, and z axis didn't go to the home coordinate. Already check the ini file and it's all same with x and z axis, what can i do to solve this.

And i also want to try to jog a-axis with external push button, is this hal configuration enough to do that

there should be a specific post processor for Plasmac shipped with Sheetcam (before QTplasmac) Try it and read the file as there are notes at the top.

@Tommy, line numbers in linuxcnc are optional and Sheetcam has settings to generate with and without.

If you use 2.10, there are some changes to make it easier by doing it the Debian way (to a Deb file). The Debian way installs all the required dependencies so check the 2.10 Docs. Otherwise there is a how to video on my MrRodW YouTube channel

Hi all

I have a dragon rise USB board (pendant) attached to one of my machines. When I first home the machine all of the buttons work as expected (IE I can jog the machine around)

After I press one of the macro buttons on the screen ( Switched Home or Work Zero) the USB pendant stops working.
I'm guessing that the macros are not exiting properly but I can find no errors.
I am running debian 3.10 with LinuxCNC 2.9.4

I'm hoping someone can give me some pointers on this.

About 1, it would be much better to have some pictures to be able to answer exactly, but in general, LinuxCNC is very flexible and quite easy to make it do pretty much everything within reason.
I am sure Todd has a machine with 4 of Z axis, just not sure if independent, but again sure it should be possible.
If you wander a bit through the "show your stuff" section of the forum, pretty quickly you can find all types of machines controlled by it, personally i have from small "scratcher" machines for pictures on granite/stone/glass to huge industrial machines (plasma, mills, lathes) and some welding robots and small dental 4 axis clear aligner cutter.
Plenty of pictures and videos there.

Plain ol X240 seems OK also, had 2, still have one in active use

Notice the touchscreen and VSync frequency, those are very important as they are top of that line, meaning other versions might or might not be good latency vise.
The link i posted above has all the info and videos of them in use plasma cutting, so no interference issues with touchscreen.

I don't think so, those appear to have analog sinusoidal outputs so
require an interpolator (that is, they are not standard quadrature encoders)
