Does it have an RJ45?
Supposing it does not as none of mine have it, so get an USB to RJ45/LAN adapter, around 7 to 15$.
I have 6 of those adapters from very old 10MBit to new 1GBit ones and all work perfectly fine with Mesa.
And i have a Dock for the Y370 with all the bells and whistles, got it for 30 Euro used! :)

Flex gui touchoff_le

Category: Other User Interfaces

As I understand it, it is only possible to use one touchoff_le and one tool_touchoff_le in Flex gui. I want to use
a touchoff_le and a tool_touchoff_le for each axis is it possible?
Have made a Flex gui for the lathe but the plotter view is up side down how do I get it changed.
Like the Flex gui for its simplicity to make a nice looking gui.

Out of curiosity, how much is a RPI and a good touchscreen these days?
Wondering as i got a Lenovo X1 Carbon Yoga for 120 and a Lenovo Yoga Y370 for 220, bot work for LinuxCNC with Mesa, both have 120Hz touchscreens, very high quality ones, very good keyboards, and both do over 4-6 hours on batteries.

I found a decent looking 15.6" Yoga on eBay for $100, so it's on its way. Should be more capable than the Pi and IBM stuff seems to work forever. I will post results when it shows up.

Gentoo Image, Which Applications are in and Which are Out

Category: General LinuxCNC Questions

The kernel is up! 6.12.1 fully patched with the entire PREEMPT_RT patch set, so i915 is back online:

github.com/NTULINUX/linux

-O3 is good to go as well.

edit: New kernel repo:

Flashing the firmware and renaming the card should be easy (well it is easy, probably done in two lines in a terminal, that is all for normal stuff) but Tormach is mentioned here less and less, but might still have someone to help with the startup script.

Gmoccapy Toollength sensor routine stops sometimes

Category: General LinuxCNC Questions

I just tried it with Axis, and that works like a charm.
So it seems to be only in combination with Gmoccapy.

Anyone any ideas?

M means male DB25 connector and a normal IDC26 header
H should probably be with two headers.

Bringing this back up as I'm striking out with Tormach. Their response when I asked if they'd be supporting the new cards was basically "we only support the card we sell on our website", which the best I can tell is just a 7i92 in a fancy enclosure....that they sell for 3x the price of a Unless they have an absolute ton of those on hand, I would assume they're going to have to write in support for the T cards soon than later.

So I'm stuck trying force the T card to work, or spending another $300+ on the "correct" card from Tormach an then I'm stuck with the $130 t card that I really don't have a use for. Entirely my fault for not doing the research, but still annoying.

So what would it take for an idiot that can barely make his way through linuxcnc to learn how to write the firmware, disable the PP update script, etc. and make this work? Is there anyone in the community that does this kind of thing for a little beer money?

@PatJac let us know the result you can get with the RK3399 board

Did not even succeded at installing the img...second try ,re sha checking now the one i got...
no go ,it's corrupted somehow .
A minimal img would be fine, less prone to those 5+Gb img corruption..
or tar.gz the huge thing .
I will give it another go .

Looking at Mesa's site, I can't tell the difference between the 7i92 and the 7i92m. The specs look identical so i would assume the M would work.

I'm looking at options to "trick" pathpilot in to using the T card, but it's a bit over my head so I'd much rather get something that just works.
