That sounds very interesting indeed. I am very excited about gscreen and gmoccapy. It gives a whole new look and makes linuxcnc look more professional.

If you originally created a separate config and copied Gmoccapy's file over to it from the sim/gmocappy sample, just copy over the files gmoccapy_handler.py and gmoccapy.glade.
That should fix it. You don't need to recompile.

If you modified the sample config then you can reset it by issuing a git command from a terminal: git reset origin/master --hard
A warning is that it will reset every tracked file in the linuxcnc folder.
You should recompile to be safe.
If you want to see what you changed first : type gitk any changes should show up in the top left as a red line (can take a few seconds) click it and you get more detail.

Thanks that got my system back up and running. I dont know how to use the git system properly yet so I dont have a safe copy on my local machine.
Do you have any idea what went wrong with the code? I opened the glade file with "Glade Interface Designer" and changed the window size. I then saved and all was broken. I would like to make my own changes so I need to understand what I did wrong here please.

Halo to all,

I just have been away for one day to change a cylinder head gasket on my traktor and you come up with a lot off questions;-)

OK:

@Marius,
I am nearly sure, that you didn't start glade from a terminal after a rip-environment, resulting in a destroyed glade file.

@all:
I am involved in REEN's development and it will be incorporated in gmoccapy, as soon as REEN has a tested running code.

@jorge
Nice to see gmoccapy on a real lathe!
Why did you remove the macros?
You can use the macros to start a cycle for facing and so on! Just see the macros for corresponding examples witch ask you for the parameters!
To include own GCode like G400 or similar, just use the remap function:

We have a saying over here. If you have a tractor on your property, you have problems on your property. Hope your tractor is fixed now. :)

You are right, I used the applications launcher to run Glade. I tried it now with glade from the terminal. I get a huge amount of "things not found" but it saved the file ok and I could run it again. It however ignores my size change.
I will wait for your fix I think, before I start my own work.

Marius

Halo Marius,

unfortunately your saying over there is right, Now the traktor don't loose water any more, but now it burns oil :angry:

I will fix the screen size matter as soon as possible.

Hello Norbert ... My lathe is producing super good.

I have work in macros, remap, ngcgui ... I'm not familiar with these things.

I have the desire to see my machine, working cycles (G70, G71, G73).

G71, G72 P (initial line) Q (finish line) R (retract) D (depth of cut) F (Feed) U (X stock) W (Z stock)

G70 P (initial line G71, G72) Q (final line G71, G72) F (feed)

Sincerely,

Jorge Viloria
