Hi Nortbert

I did this but still get the old screen
git reset origin/master --hard
git fetch --all
./autogen
./configure
make
sudo make setuid

Is there another way for me to get the code?

Regards
Marius

Halo Marius,

in the title line of the screen you will see the gmoccapy version.

it should say

gscreen - gmoccapy for linuxcnc 0.9.3.1

if so, you got the latest version.

If you got 0.9.3.1, please go to the settings page and adjust the height of the GUI. If you don't use the settings page, gmoccapy will use the settings from your hidden preference file, whitch at the moment are the old ones.

You can also just delete your hidden preference file.

Halo Marius,

normaly it is enough to give a
git pull

to get the newest version.

If you want a new clone just do :
git clone git://git.linuxcnc.org/git/linuxcnc.git linuxcnc-dev

after deleting your linuxcnc-dev directory.
Buut attention you will loose the changes you made by your own.

Don't forget :
cd linuxcnc-dev
 cd src
 ./autogen.sh
 ./configure
 make
 sudo make setuid
 cd ..
 . ./scripts/rip-environment
 linuxcnc
after that.

Norbert,
I redid the pull and now I have the latest files.

Is there a way to change the 750 minimum or is it hard coded?

Marius

Hallo Marius,

it is hard codded, I can tell you how to change the value, but I do not recommend it.
If you make the screen smaller than this, the widgets will overlap each other, because they do need certain space.

Just see the settings page with 750 set, you will see that there the widgets will begin to hide each other.

Best is to use a screen size not smaller than 768, I just choose 750, because this value is the smallest I have been able to realize without investing to much time.

Norbert,
It is looking very good. Can I give some feedback if I may please?

1: The DRO tab opens up to big so the DRO are cut off to the right
2: The last button on jog increments shows inches while the rest show mm
3: Under settings - the keyboard shortcuts frame is to small
4:In the settings - appearance-dro the first radio button label has a typo (Schow -> Show)

Thanks a lot for all your hard work on this. I am really happy that you are doing it for us.

Regards
Marius

I do not understand very well, but I will try:

You enter in MDI the following code

S100 M3

after starting and homing the machine,

then the label in the spindle frame should say S 100

If not, please check the spindle override!
