In your ini file you have remaped the M6 command to a file manual_change, that file is not published, so no help possible?

So what file is missing, I just did the install as I understood the instructions.
This line?
REMAP=M6 modalgroup=6 prolog=change_prolog ngc=manual_change epilog=change_epilog
So is it so that the ngc file has to be edited?
github.com/verser-git/probe_screen_v2/tree/master/macros
I am still on 2.7.14

Just comment out the remap line and try again.
Does the tool change work? If yes, we know it is within remap.
And please!
For all testing start LinuxCNC from terminal and whatch the output, i am sure the output will show what is missing or wrong

Onboard?
One board?
forum.linuxcnc.org/27-driver-boards/3642...i76e?start=40#132461
I did get help from Peter with a new BIT file as I want to add a secondary spindle.
So there is a BOB added to my 7i76e

gmoccapy is trying to load onboard keyboard but gets an error from that component.
You will need to try with the less possible hal files and add than one by one. So you can check the reall error.

That error has been there from day 1 when I installed gmoccapy and I do not know where to start finding this.

did you check if
**** No virtual keyboard installed, we checked for <onboard> and <matchbox-keyboard>.
**** GMOCCAPY INFO ****
**** No gmoccapy2.glade file present ****
You need to install Matchbox or Onboard keyboard separately

As i told earlier,
commend out all hal file and all embedded tabs, just leave the main hal file where you load the driver for your card activated and start from terminal, check for the output!
If that minimal config does start, activate the next hal file and check again.
Go on till the config does not start any more and then post the complete output of the terminal with your complete config folder.
Without that testing from your side and without very more detailed output, am am not willing to help, as it is like whatching in my glass ball.
And as i am completely convinced that this has nothing to do with gmoccapy, i strongly recommend to move the futher discussion in its own thread as a probe screen problem or advanced hal configuration.
