Phill,

Please see this video,

Its hard to see because the arc is so bright but basically at the end of the hole the arc goes brighter as it raises up while it is still cutting.

I wonder if a dwell before the M5 would be a quick and dirty fix?

The Off Delay means the torch stays on for 0.5 seconds after the cut is finished. I think that is what you are seeing.
Can you post your GCode. If you don't want it made public you can get my email address off Rod and send it direct if you want.

Hi Phill, can you explain how the off delay should work?
I thought that should be a delay after the cut is finished before Z lifting up.
But the torch is stays on when the z axis is lifting up. It's right?

Can you try decreasing the feed rate while you are cutting a hole

Phill

Hi, I have been away from plasma cutting since the first of the month because of some medical issues. I want to get caught up with the latest PlasmaC version. I have always used a RIP build because of my gantry machine. Are you planning any major changes to PlasmaC soon, should I wait before cloning the new master branch?

John
