All step and direction outputs are buffered 5V signals that can drive 24 mA. All outputs support differential mode to reduce susceptibility to noise. An isolated analog spindle voltage with direction and enable outputs is provided for spindle control as is a single spindle encoder channel with TTL or differential inputs.

Sorry!

The Dm556 will fit perfect to the 7i76e
you are fine with that setup and Hardware configuration

Thank you, all arrived dm556t drivers etc.
Is the enable connected as well? Don't think so?

Enable typically disables so there is no need to connect it.Handy if you want to disable drives on estop

Hello after so long.....some updates for you....
I am making progress... Finally found time to start building after collecting all the parts.
Lucky I was that the motors with the precision reduction gears 5:1 made the gantry design easy.
racks are leaning on the left side
An old table was used and shortened. Not knowing what the actual size will be(width) ... I wanted to make the top ready to use it to straighten and set it perpendicular ... Means starting from top to bottom ... Now I am more experienced and can calculate it.

Had to learn fusion 360 and design a view things... Gantry plate...

The rack will be mounted underneath with iron angles which will funktion like spring-loaded. The motor can be turned on the gantry and pressed against it.... Let's see... If it works..

Racks will come here...

3dprinter is great..
Magnet from old Hard disk.. Breakaway protection... Torch holder...limit switch...
Mounted linear rail on Z axis.. Hope gravity is enough to bring the torch down.

Needs shortening...

Started electrical setup...

I still have lots of questions... But wanted to let you know there is an outcome eventually!

Can you give me a link which I can't find anymore how to connect induction switches to my 7i76e.?

Thank you

Fred, re the 7i76e and proximity switches, you just need to use PNP sensors, power with field power (eg +24v -24v) and connnect the Prox sensor output to the 7i76e input. On the gantry I used some 9 core shielded cable and DB9 connectors to a breakout board I made to connect the sensors to. With 2 wires dedicated to field power, this gave me 7 inputs.

Sorry for all the stupid questions... Do I need 6 or only 3 for home only?
I have to get aquainted with the 7i76e since I don't even know how to connect switches...
E stop I have got for power off and for eStop input.
This is from an u finished project

You've got no shortage of inputs on the 7i76e. I set mine up with seperate home mmax limit and min limit on each axis except the Z axis which has a shared home/limit switch at top of travel for space reasons. The Z axis Min limit is probably not required.
You also need inputs for float switch and possibly torch breakaway. I ended up with 7 inputs from the gantry and 3 inputs on each side.

For wiring the 7i76e have a look at the attached pfd's

Those are very detailed wiring instructions, and should be put in the documentation, somewhere, anywhere where they could be easily found.
Thank you.
Note:
There are also instructions for spindle and encoder wiring, homing and limit switches, e-stop, so does apply for other uses besides plasma.
