I have KL5056 drives and they are ranged input voltage from 20V to 50V. I also run mine on one Meanwell 48V switching PS, have had zero issues.

If a drive is specified to take a max supply of 50V then it should be able to run motors at 50V. I have about ten 50V drives running at 48V. In the 15 years or so I have not had a single one fail.
Mind you those are high quality Trinamics drives not some cheap knock off from ebay.

It might be enough to kill a Gecko but I have had no issues with the longs motors at 48 volts as I used them for a few years on my spaceship plasma.

The G251x is limited to 50 volts. So get a 10 amp 48 volt Meanwell Switch mode power supply.
I would not use 48V on a 50V drive. The back EMF could kill them.
40v would be safer. Just my opinion

Yes and Hohmann Designs, the Aussie Gecko dealer recommends 48 volt Meanwells too!

Would either of these work? The second model is 36volts. There are so many types of power supplies out there.
