I blame John Oliver

JUST DO IT! hahaha ... I almost forgot about that. My favorite was Bill Maher and Ann Coulter.

Hardcore Trumpers are trying to blame the Capitol Riot on BLM/Antifa. The MAGA lunatics beating the cop with a piece of rigid pipe flying an American flag was sad. I am not gung-ho patriotic, but that pissed me off. Those are traitors, plain and simple.

It can, but it (or should i say: they) do not ship it. I am in Kosovo, it is bloody Europe, but we are left out of everything,

I as all set to have Kosovo as the default country in the LinuxCNC Raspberry Pi SD card image as a gesture of solidarity.. But it wasn't even an option :-/

That was painless!

That looks right. Yes, I only did one example! The outputs may need to be different as you might already be using a pin for torch on or something.

If you upgrade linuxcnc, you may need to redo the halcompile step as the component is not native to linuxcnc.

There is also a separate zone pin that publishes a numeric number for the current zone. If you were ambitious you could modify your GUI to display the number from that pin. Or add a row of GUI LED's for each zone.

Very cool. Can't wait to see how it works for you!

Rod - After installing plasmac the downdraft solenoids are not working. In my machine ini file, in the hal section, the reference to ddraft4x2.hal was gone. I added it back in, same as it had been... now I get this error when I try to start plasmac.

twopass: Error in file ././plasmac/plasmac.tcl:
Pin 'axis.x.pos-cmd' was already linked to signal 'xpos'

Yes, Plasmac now uses hte pins we need. You need to use a postgui hal file and the signals plasmac has created in plasmac.tcl

It will be an easy fix!

Hi, I realize this is an old thread, but I'd like to know if this was a success or not? Is it working? Worth the effort?
Thanks,
Mike

The actuation setup that Rod programmed for me worked great. The exhaust port on that table was not large enough to stay up with the smoke though. What I would suggest doing is to setup at least 4 exhaust ports coming off the side of your table. Then connect those four ports to the main exhaust duct on the outside of the table. That will allow you to move a lot more air AND you will be able to install your 'blast gates' on the outside of the table. At least that is what I am going to do when I cut it back over to plasma work. Good luck!
