Do we need go to zero button?

Not really, MDI can do that.
Also i remove the ohmic probe from the PlasmaC and add it there.

hello everyone.
I am really sorry for not being able to finish this project yet.

The thing is I am starting a workshop of my own. I am 29, some say it's too early, but still, I am doing it. Wish me luck.
Legal works, architects, and construction is keeping me from everything.
Hopefully, everything will settle down by February.

Monokrom is a need of my own, so it will be usable for plasma and mill asap. Kurt is also busy with his stuff. Moreover, he has done all the work.
Better late than never.

Starting a plasma cnc build and looking at interface options. I can see QTPlasmac is available and uses this style. However that is linked to linuxcnc 2.9 and to be honest my tests with 2.9 have made me skitish about it. Having linuxcnc seg fault or generate fatal XWindow errors is not good on a machine pushing sun hot plasma about the place.

On 2.8 things are nice and solid. So keen to see if this has been pushed along or perhaps helping to push it along to operate under 2.8.

So ... where are things at? :-)

Cheers - J.

I’m curious what your tests involved?

I will say I’ve been running QtPlasmaC (and LinuxCNC 2.9) since it’s inception around October 2020, and I have yet to encounter any LinuxCNC specific related issue. Period.

I also know of many users running the original PlasmaC on 2.9 without incident as well.

There were two eoffset “issues” we ran into and I say “issues” because they were more to do with PlasmaC using them in a way that was outside of their original design scope. But those “issues” were present in 2.8 as well.
