how did you get linuxcnc? did you use someones ISO? did you compile from sources?
The script will get the dependencies for Qtvcp, but Qtvcp it's self is build into linuxcnc.
So my i'd guess your version of linuxcnc is just a bit old.
That said Debian 9 should have no problem running this.
I'll see if I have a debian 9 system and test.

i tried my debian 9 and it seemed to work fine.
Can you run linuxcnc from the terminal and see if it gives any bigger clue.
Also the the error dialog (it did use the dialog?) did it mention the # of errors? sometimes the real error gets hidden behind other useless errors. pressing ok will usually get you to the next error and you can see if they are different.
Finally in that script wich version of qt did you pick? beleive 5.5 is the version for debian.

I'm getting pretty much the same errors - I get the BasicProbe macro error on startup and a few errors on shutdown
Cheers

the basicprobe error as Hottabich mentioned is probably because it couldn't find the probe routine files. you need to change the file path in the INI.
But that won't cause an error in the screen, it will just make probing unavailable.
I'd need to see the actual error and if it's the same as above i need to see the file I asked for.
