Can you try another qyvcp sample screen to see if it's screen code related?

Sure, I will do that after work this evening.

So I ran QtDragon.

I'm not exactly sure how to get an error to popup to know if I should get one or not. But I did see these in the Terminal, and I'm thinking at least the last one should show a popup, and it did not.

parameter file missing should show. So it seems a system problem.
Are you using master?

and you have installed:
python-dbus.mainloop.pyqt

I'm sure you do but ask for completeness

Yep, I am on master.

Looks good to go. No worries, always better to be safe!

Was just thinking that maybe I should note that in SIM on my Virtual Machine it's hit or miss as to whether or not I get the standard Latency Error message when I start any of the qtvcp screens. I think that might be independent of any screen I select.

I wonder if it's the virtual machine doing it.

I would wonder the same, but my actual machine for cutting does the same thing :(

I just used the SIM as an example since it should always show the latency message.

EDIT: Both are Mint 19.2 though, so that does seem to be a common factor. Made from Beaglebrainz images.

Anything I can do to try to isolate anything that helps you track down the root cause?

Or am I just doomed to not be on Mint 19.2 lol :-/

I just wanted to give this one last bump as I am Strongly considering reimaging my SIM and my cutting table PCs to another distribution of Linux in an attempt to escape this issue. I may not be the only one to use the table at times, so I think the error message popups are important.

Before I blow my current setups away, I wanted to make sure there wasn't anything I could do to help/try and troubleshoot this further.

I know a lot of people use Mint, and also not everyone launches LinuxCNC from terminal, so it concerns me that the popups are not consistently present.
