Regarding the Lichuan A4 servo driver - I just installed two of those on my milling machine with 1kW servos.
Speed mode, analog +-10V input. Works just fine as far as I can tell. As is the case with the drives I have used,
speed/position/torque mode and input source are settable through drive registers.

I also have Lichuan A4. I am using step / dir, as I prefer to stay in the digital domain, although they seem to support +/-10V.
The Lichuan B2 appears to support analogue input, too. Would be surprising if they didn't. Are you sure they don't?

Yes I am absolutely sure.
Analog is usually +/-10V but B2 is 0-10 + switch to change direction = not fast enough.

That's annoying. I'm glad I didn't go the analogue route. It has to be said, the Lichuans are thin on features compared to the likes of Yaskawa etc and the setup "software" is little more than a parameter table you can configure offline and upload.
As modern drives and controllers are both inherently digital, what is the benefit of going analogue +/-10V? The signals are being converted from digital to analogue at the controller, then back to digital at the servo drives, with the opportunity for noise, delays (filters etc) and offsets along the way.

The guys answered my similar question on Analog v Step/Dir a few pages back.

The cutting oil used has hardened to a varnish, and glues the ways down pretty well. I am having to break it down further than I hoped, but am very happy with yhat I am finding so far.
