Versand gibt.)

Grüße, Norbert

Hi Peter,
I used your youtube video on setting up the xhc-whb04b-4 and it works great with the sim, but I can't seem to get it to work with the actual machine?
Any ideas what i'm doing wrong?
Thanks Mike

Hi Mike,

do you used Peter's first video or the second (and newer) one about the whb04b ?

The newer video shows it very easy with LinuxCNC V2.8,

Cheers, Norbert

Yes I used the new video, it was pretty easy but it only works on the simulator, when I try to use it with my machine it doesn't work. not sure if it has something to do with using Linux Mint or not.

Hi Mike,

as a newbie with LinuxCNC i can' t realy help you, better someone with knowledge answer please. (and they will need more information, do you get error's, environment etc.)

Perhaps there is something in your machine-configuration that is not compatible with it ?
Have you tried configuring a new LinuxCNC machine with one of the installers (stepconfig ..) wich is similar to yours ?

Ok got it working buy using Peter's latest video and I went into my machine HAL file and put a number sign in front of
#net machine-is-on halui.machine.is-on
It wasn't liking this same line in the xhc-whb04b-6.hal file, but you have to have it on to work.
net machine.is−on halui.machine.is−on whb.halui.machine.is−on
And its working pretty good, still have a few bugs to work out, but the x,y,z all work a long with continuous and step buttons.
Thanks Mike

Hallo Community,

Danke schonmal!
