If we fix the berry bit will the links still be good or do they need modifying ?
Pinning it would be a good idea, was hoping you would ask ;)
Locking just to keep it clean, I like it

Thanks

I am still running my mill on 2.7, so I guess I should install an old version of NativeCam and try it out.

Minidrehbank Projekt - noch in Planung (Irgendwie)

Category: Deutsch

Hallo

This browser does not support PDFs. Please download the PDF to view it: Download PDF

Linuxcnc & the Raspberry Pi (4 & 5) Official Images Only!!!

Category: Installing LinuxCNC

Just for completeness, all the questions doobiedoo raised have been addressed in this thread. So I'm unsure why the user is having so many issues.
The images do work out of the box.

Yes of course, when you mention parallel it is always referred to the parallel port, for Mesa we use header or IDC26 port.
Mesa header can do everything a parallel port can, at speeds of up to 10MHz/s for each pin (se above for parallel port speed), but can also do input or output on any of the 17 pins, and can have secondary hardware functions like PWM or stepgen or encoder inputs or....

@HalaszAttila,

Mabye just give it a try on a LinuxCNC v2.8.4 version.
The repository has info how to install, patch.
Maybe others can help to setup a vm and test it for you, as my vm is broken at the moment.

@Evgen,
That is not possible unless you edit the source in the ~/debian dir.

For shipping software, you can considering using ~/opt/linuxcnc as the installation dir for a .deb package.
Creating a .deb package from linuxcnc that installs in ~/opt/linuxcnc dir is clean way to go.

Goto Befehl?

Category: Deutsch

linuxcnc.org/docs/2.9/html/gcode/overview.html#sub:block-delete
Du kannst Verzweigungen verwenden (eg IF, ELSE, WHILE).

Can MDI_COMMAND entries be explicitly numbered?

Category: General LinuxCNC Questions

I'm not aware of an optional explicit numbering.
This seems to be the section in halui.cc that parses the MDI_COMMAND entries in the ini file:

It basically adds the commands to an array in the order they appear in the [HALUI] section. I guess it would be possible to parse each entry for the number and place it in the appropriate element of the array but I'm not sure if it's really worth the effort as there are other keys that can occur multiple times (eg 'REMAP' or 'HALFILE').

The stepgens on the 7I95 expansion connector are hardware stepgens.
I think when you said "parallel" tommylight assumed you meant a
separate parallel port.

Here's a configuration for the 7I95 with 9 total stepgens, 6 on the 7I95 and 3
on the expansion port, pinned out for the common Sainsmart 5 Axis BOB.
I dropped the sserial ports to get it to fit:

Chris, I guess you have already heard of viaconstructor (github.com/multigcs/viaconstructor).
If not you may can get some inspiration of the graphical part ... and it is also using Qt ;-)

Thanks for your reply. This means stepgens using parallel connector on the 7i95 in BoB are software stepgens? I thought 7i95 produces them in real time.

I'm fighting with the setup of my HB04.
Simply copying over the files and adding the HAL and HALUI lines in the ini file didn't work.
Adding the loadusr line to the ini did help.
Then i ran into the error that pin "halui.spindle-override.counts" didn't exist (running 2.9.4) changed it to "halui.spindle.0-override.counts" but that gives me the same error.
#-ing out all the ofending lines till i got LinuxCNC to run worked, then in the terminal checked the pin's with "halcmd show pin" and fond that it has a different name. "halui.spindle.0.override.counts"

I now see the display matches, and updates to what the screen coordinates show. However, the jog wheel doesn't move the spindle/coordinates.
Any tips?
