BTW I had success sending a tool number on the main window of PB, it runs the subroutine m6_tool_call_main_panel.ngc that you should edit whith your atc position.

Now, I am planning a CNC welding setup.

In my application, touch sensing with Mig-wire is a must. Now, I tested the continuity between torch tip and earth clamp, it is already a closed circuit inside the welding machine. Then how do touch sensing work? 

Looking for help/ideas.

Anyone already using such setup??

Mmm, pizza fixes everything.

For the curious who might want to use lenovo tiny pcs:
- The pc needed a bios update to disable CSM mode. (legacy compatibility) and turn secure boot off.
- The bios needed to go on a bootable DOS stick, which was not super clear in the instructions and its been AGES since that was a thing haha so I just forgot.
- Once I got the bios on I still needed to reinstall linuxcnc cause I guess the boot record was still messed up.

After all that, its fine. Now to do the work I intended to do like 11 hours ago!

@hellvetica Looks like I have same or very similar issue. What exactly was wrong with wiring in your case?

So with the official image if I install Network Manager then it fails at between 50k and 70k pings... However if I leave the network bone stock like the image (so using commandline and config files to manage) then 100000 pings at 1ms/ping and a response time of 0.105ms so yah... I think it was Network Manager that was the problem.

Thanks again! Now I can start LinuxCNC and motor start to make sound on start. Also Encoder shows position in DRO tab. Looks like I have communication with the servo motor now. When I trying to Jog or turn motor shaft I got Error: joint 0 following error. Same thing as  bananun described at the end of page one of this thread but his solution doesn't work for me. Now I'm not sure is this is Servo related error or I still need to do tweaking LinuxCNC settings. I seriously underestimate complexity of this project

it wont update the bios cause it cant find the usb drive.

The no OS found is a lenovo thing I forgot about. needs a bios flash. doing that now.

Delete or omit (by adding # in front of it) the line trying to load lcec twice.

Try the live version, if everything works, almost always it will work after installing it on the drive.
To install LinuxCNC use the same
sudo apt install linuxcnc-uspace

finshed installing.. reboots..... no operating system installed.

*slams head on desk*

Now what? its the only disk in there.
