Ethercat installation from repositories - how to step by step

Category: EtherCAT

Sorry, my bad! I should have waited until I had access to the machine so I could post more info about the issue. This is what goes wrong for me with the latest RPi5 image. I've attached the full "log" as well. Is there any other data I can attach to assist? Thank you for your help in advance, I greatly appreciate it!

Ok try this both files must be in the folder I described before.
pan/rotate button works and G5x button now will select the DRO to reflect the current user offsets.

As for the REF button - is it that the drop down menu is too small ? It can be enlarged.
Or the Ref button could be changed to just call the calculator for setting the axis (no drop down menu)

(for future reference, this mod is for 2.9 qtdragon_hd)

As you don't want to unhome during gcode execution you might want to try a python component and use
self.command.unhome(joint)

That is what the guis use, which seems to work just fine.

I have no idea how us Aussies should spell it after that!
Edit: Seems it was Silicon in the 70s when I last encountered the periodic table

I suspect Tommy lives in a pocket of the world who ignored the change in the 1800's

Used to do that on a weekly basis when I was installing playground equipment, the supplier would ship all the stuff up not powder coated and we'd spend time packing it all and shipping it off to the powder coaters then doing all the nutserts. Man there was a lot of double handling.

That sounds familiar. I add a  fold in there too. Then package into a kit and label the bag. They look alright when done. This one was fully outsourced and they painted after nutserting but they look so much nicer if the nutsert goes in later.

Ethercat installation from repositories - how to step by step

Category: EtherCAT

I suspect the issue is that the Ethercat libraries are not supported on the 6.12 kernel
If you:
1. Only post once, not three times
2. show the output of the error, we might be able to help further.

Only reason I wanted to try this image is since I'm not able to install ethercat on the latest one...

I would have thought cornholio would have included the ethercat repos. But you could use the provided script in a sticky in the Ethercat section that should work
