gmoccapy_0_9_9_9
tool change with tool length measurement
ver. 0.9.9.9
- gmoccapy is now able to do auto tool measurement after an manual tool change
- introduced a ini config to simulate that
- still to do: If user clicks on aboard while the tool change message window is still open
or he closes the window with the small X on the right upper corner, the hal pin will
not be reset properly
Please do not test this, without reading the WIKI and it might help to watch the related videos on you tube.
Please do not comment my very perfect machine with the vise glued with tabe on the table

Norbert, nice job, thanks.
On my side, I have implemented few features for Gmoccapy in a wrapper.
You can get my full config from here: blog.f1oat.org/linuxcnc/
May be you can take some code to enhance Gmoccapy.
It provides:
I have to check if it does the same things.
Frederic.

May be you can take some code to enhance Gmoccapy.
It provides:
- automatic tool table update based on special tags in ngc file
- automatic handling of reference tool length when Z probing is used
- block G-CODE window update when running subroutines
- Automatic probing of the workpiece thanks to a small piece of PCB used as a contact area. Handle the PCB thickness.
- Automatic tool length measurement and compensation
- Machine park feature
- Goto manual tool change position
- JOG-WHILE-PAUSED feature based on M60 REMAP
- Tested with Gmoccapy 0.9.9.8.1
I have to check if it does the same things.
Frederic.

Halo Frederic,
thanks a lot for sharing your work.
I will take a closer look to that, as you included some interesting features!

Hi Norbert
I like some of the stuff that Frederic has done. Like the measurement of the block with a piece of pcb. I do that now with a macro. The park and tool change postions is also a good feature. I would just put the extras on another tab maybe or page maybe.

gmoccapy 0.9.9.9.1
Solves most of the tool touch off issues mentioned by Jim.
Only for users who are used to take the Comma as decimal separator and do use a keyboard , there is still a problem with calcwidget, used in the entry dialog, as it will not accept the comma, so please use the dot of your keyboard, until there is a solution.
