Hi Fern,
I installed ubuntu 10.4 (fresh install with old_archives repositories) + Linuxcnc 2.7.8 on three different computers and unfortunately NativeCam does not work on any of the three. I do not know if anyone else has had a similar experience.

I see it can be done inside and outside for every piece ! Nice.
I will try to install and run on a plasma cutter, but it is far from town do i have no internet there except on my phone. Can it work under 10.04 and 2.5 ? Never mind, i will try it and if it does not, i will install a newer version and make it work here and then move the hdd there.
Thank you very much for your effort.

Engraving for NativeCAM should hopefully be ready by the end on January.
Meanwhile, your best is to use ngcgui

I installed Ubuntu 10.04 from iso image on lcnc web site and my pc does not connect to any network with it, I was unable so far to configure it to work yet.

I recommend you stay with Wheezy as it works great with it.

Regards
Fern

P.S. I will push updated files tomorrow specially for plasma
