I just updated a Buster machine using the Buildbot and it ended up with LINUXCNCVERSION: 2.9.0-pre0-7376-gf6d13e0ee

PnCconf works fine.
Edit: I just noticed that PnCconf is not in the menu, is that what you meant?

If you are meaning 2.9 as a stable release then I have no clue. A new 2.8 was released last week I think.
 

Yes pncconf is not visible in the menu.
And yes i asked for 2.9 version as stable.. ok no problem.

Check the "accesories" sub menu, LinuxCNC stuff would end up there sometimes.

Nah, it is not there either Tommy. Latency Test is though and it also appears under Documentation...

The latest version now has it showing.

There are still some oddities that are being worked on but most menu entrie are there somewhere...
