Without seeing your config it's hard to say if there is something small you might be overlooking or something special about your config we haven't thought to duplicate over here?

Was thinking the same thing when i noticed that so i made a new config, still slow.
Pressed for time trying to finish the new shop so not much time to test, but i did use the latest buildbot today and no change.
Will have to do a deep dive as soon as possible .....
Thank you, all.

I just downloaded the latest Builbot version, it reports as v2.9.0pre0-3775-gd2e2104fa
It seems to work OK here in Mode 0

Just noticed something else :
Machine homed and ready, torch enabled, press F9 probe ok, fires the torch, jog a bit doing a short (2 -5cm) cut, press F9 again arc stops, BUT Z axis remains low, DRO shows Z axis moving very slowly up, this goes on till esc is pressed.
Never mind, more important, what can be causing the torch to move so slowly?
Checked hal and in and connections, set debounce to 1, different values for THC PID, volts per mm, no impact.
Pretty sure i messed up something as i had lately the same issue with Axis till the THC stopped working altogether, it does not enable no matter what i do to it.
In a bit i will start from scratch, see if that helps, but if it does i will have to investigate further.
Thank you all, sorry for being so absent lately.

Tom, you really are seeing some odd issues.
After probing does the z axis move up slowly to pierce height or at normal speed?
If you do a normal cut does the the z axis move up slowly at the end or normal speed?

I am seeing something odd. Dont know if it is just me but: I updated yesterday.
When running a program, I hit cycle stop, all jogging is disabled or not working. Keyboard, gui and mpg all stops working.
Is there a delay by design? I waited 2 minutes and still no jogging. Just have to hit power button and back on then it starts jogging again.

Tommy, made a quick video here to show F9 behavior on my table. Of course the torch was off but it seems ok here. Pardon my slow probe speed, it was still set up for the height when I tested the thc on a slope cut.

Sorry for the slow response,
After the latest update i could not reproduce the slow retraction from F9 use, so all good as far.
But still did not figure out the slow reaction of the THC, will try to do a new config later on.
Snowwy, thank you.
