Is there any communication happening?

That is, do you get a fault if the VFD is not connected?

You have basic7i97.hal in your .ini file but I think
you wanted main. hal there instead.

That's why you get this error:

CANNOT FIND FILE FOR:basic7i97.hal

Help me please????I have spent 3 days trying to get linuxcnc to power on the Maho with no success.Where i am at. With linuxcnc open and the machine released from estop i can manually latch relay 19k1 by holding on the contactor with a screw driver. When i do this the whole machine powers up and everything is working perfectly. the drives are enabled the linear scales are reading correctly. the door open closed switches are all working correctly but the x and z servos are rotating slowly but smoothly. Then when i update the hal file to electronically latch 19k1 with f2 it will not hold and drops relays straight away.

Is there an easy way to get the feed rate to show up on the screen somewhere? (old 2.7x version)
For various reasons (I use some css and when it's working well I'd like to know what combination of rpm and feed it's actually using) I'd like to see the actual feed the z-axis is on my lathe as it cuts whatever given diameter. I've got a add-on panel showing the actual spindle RPM so although not as straight forward there should be a way of showing the actual FEED of whatever axis. Since somewhere in there should be the pulse rate of the stepper I think it might be available or would I need to have an encoder on that motor/ballscrew and calculate out the feed that way ???

I think my voltage spikes seemed to disappear when I connected the board. So now im ready for the next step in my "simple retrofit machine"image missing /media/kunena/emoticons/smile.png

• only one motor standing on the table waiting for action
  • enable directly to the Rexroth DKC11.3 drive

able to jog x motor in Axis.Unfortunately it didnt workWhen starting the configuration in Linuxcnc i get the message:
Note: Using POSIX realtime2573Stopping realtime threadsUnloading hal componentsNote: Using POSIX realtimeI have tried several things but now it seems that im stuck with this message.Any ideas?I attach report, hal and ini

Ok, I continue with the 10 I have guessed and set.

Seeing that you understand pretty well what is going on, what will you do different with a new driver?

That makes sense... today i did a new clean install using Debian 12 Bookworm and Linuxcnc 2.9.0~pre1+git20230208.f1270d6ed7

Still get some errors -> attached picture

Hey Guys, I’m pretty new here.
I have a little Problem with configuring my Stepper online A6 Servo Drive. I want to use torque homing but I can not Figure Out wich Parameters I need to set in the Drive.

And I also Think that my Linux CNC Config is wrong. Can maybe someone with more experience then me help me

Liebe Grüße

I believe I have 10, but can't verify until tomorrow or Monday. I have only tried the one value, which was an educated guess and seemed to work.

The total delay can be loops * timeout, i.e. 60 * 5 ms = 300 ms with the default values. In practice it can become longer because of how the delay is made and how the kernel schedules the task. I would imagine that as long as the delay is more than a few servo cycles, it should work. So probably it would work even with loops set to 1. But I have not tested. Nor do I think it would solve all issues that I experience.

By the way, after re-reading your post I realized this was for a medical product line. When I mentioned sheet/panel materials (plastics, laminates, composites, etc.) I meant it in a very generic sense. I’d be really interested to know what kind of materials you were actually processing (e.g. medical-grade films, technical fabrics, multilayer laminates, polymers, etc.), since the combination of a heat press laminator and an ultrasonic cutter suggests a quite specialized process.

Well if you think about it, the delta winch drum is really the same as a pinion drive in relation to motor analysis,
So no cutting forces, 2 kg axis weight (actually that's way wrong as the print head has 3 wires supporting it) but it did not make much difference.
I have no real idea here but if you want speed, grab a 48 volt 10 amp power supply (for 3 motors) a 2:1 reduction gearbox and a 60mm diameter winch drum, and you are good for 37,000 m/min!

The limiting factor here was the voltage and this needed 46 volts. if they had a drive good for 72-80 volts like rtelligent you might crack 40 m/min  revised Report attached. Some early runs did not get past 12 m/min until I started tweakimg drums and gearing.

I'll be very interested to see how you go as I thought seriously about making one to but had no experence. Beckhoff have some interesting modi;e to read the cool stuff printers need!

I was testing new remora-eth from ben-jacobson repository. With the suggestions from you was able to make it work on SPI3, with TMC5160 drivers on remora-spi.

But now I am testing remora-eth from same repo. Can you help me in this?. I have edited ldscript for octopus pro with ethernet. But I can't ping w5500.

What number do you use for loops? Is any number "best"?
