Where can i find the 7i96s.bin? I can't find it in the folder with other fw files.
And i updated to _d because I can't run the pwm for the analog out. (i'm still lerning LCNC and mesa card set up. Maybe my setup was wrong, but now it's runing and want to try with the orifinal fw. (in the pin files i don't see any difference betwen them.)

Is it possible to use them like input for alarms, or index axis encoder for more precise homing? ( or maybe P1 pins with 817 optocoupler)The default driver behaviour is to enable all functions in the firmware
So with standard 7I96S firmware:
loadrt hm2_eth board_ip="10.10.10.10"
is the equivalent of:
loadrt hm2_eth board_ip="10.10.10.10" config=" num_encoders=1 num_pwmgens=1 num_stepgens=5 sserial_port_0=0xxxxx"
If for example you used your config line:
loadrt hm2_eth board_ip="10.10.10.10" config=" num_encoders=1 num_pwmgens=1 num_stepgens=2 sserial_port_0=0xxxxx"
stepgens 2,3,4 would be disabled
(and their outputs would become available as general purpose 5V outputs)

1. No, the step/dir pins have buffers pointing outwards so can only be outputs
2. All 7I96S firmware supports the analog PWM (the default is 7i96s_d.bin)
3. P1 pins can be input or outputs (or stepgens encoder inputs etc,etc depending on firmware)

2) So I did "nothing", if it's the default.
3) Is there any firmware to be able to use 2 pins for index homing? (It can be made for for more axis to be more universal)
I saw videos, someone can made them by themselves (fw), but for me it's too difficult. (if i can't make a simple lathe configuration on this new card, what we talking about)
Because the inductive homing sensor (what we have) are not precise, the index from the servo drive will help out us a lot.
There will be turret with 6 tools. On this week I will test the algorithm.
On another late there are 5i25+7i76 cards and every morning we trying to find the coordinates for one tool and need to make the offset.
Is it possible to use index input on a pin without modifying the firmware?

If you move very slowly so the index pulse is long enough to get sampled reliably by
the servo thread, you may be able to do this is hal
There is firmware that supports stepgen index pins

I don't have a ready made example, but stepgen index behaviour mimics
encoder index behaviour so has the same hal connections to the index
enable signal

Which firmware of them supports "stepgen index pinsW" and what pin to connect it on the card? There is firmware that supports stepgen index pinsW

No normal firmware supports this option.
Typically it would be used with an encoder
input card (that has a combined stepgen/encoder index pin)
What type of signal is the index from your hardware?

The signal is a 5v encoder output from a servo drive KA series (differential ABZ and Z open collector output + a GND, not sure about the 2nd)
I need only the index, just for homing.

I have only just this, 7i96s card with 7i96s_d.bin firmwareNo normal firmware supports this option.
