7I96S spindle output is 18V max so if you wanted a
bipolar output you would be limited to a18V supply and +-9V
output range

18v max means not
Sp- = -18v
Sp+ = +18v
?
I have -15v and +15v, all together 30v out, or ±15v. It wont damage the analog output?
Sp- = -15v
Sp+ = +15v
SpOut = ±9?

18V is the maximum voltage between SP- and SP+
so +- 9V is the maximum bipolar voltage that can be applied
+18 on SP+ and -18 0n SP- is 36 V total which will damage the
analog output

So there is no chance to use it with ±10v
And we must make from ±15v ±9v. Or even will be best ±8v to be 100% sure.
But there is no possible way to change the driver settings for lower driving voltage...

Well you _might_ get way with +-10V but thats close to the edge...
The spindle circuit is protected with a 18V nominal TVS diode
which will typically start conducting at about 20.5V

Ok.
We will try to come up with something.
It's a little bit strange solution have only 18v max between Sp- Sp+.
With a standard inverter it's not a problem (0-10v, or 0-5v), but most old servo drives has ±10v driving voltage (as some inverters and in my case).
The 7i76e also has only 15v max between Sp- Sp+?
Why did you choose a this kind of solution, without any voltage margin for driving analog input by ±10v? (max voltage range 30v between Sp- Sp+)

The 7I76E and 7I96S spindle outputs are intended for standard VFDs that have
0 to 10V or 0 to 5V inputs. In this case 15V or 18V leave plenty of margin.
Bipolar (+-10) spindle controls are much less common and require more (and more expensive) circuitry to handle properly.

I have asked the electrician. It will be fine for our purpose.

Finally I returned to this Lathe.
But not really understand, how to configure the spindle section...
I have run a PNCConf (in LCNC 2.9~1-54....) and check the box with ± spindle direction.
When the spindle at 1 rpm I see on the SP output -8.78V (nearly the -SP voltage), but it should be ~0.1v. When the spindle i Off I see on the SP output the -SP voltage.
I have -SP -8.8v and +SP +8.9v.
How to make it work properly? Sp Off = SpOut - 0v

With bipolar supplies if you want 0 output, the PWM must be 50% of full scale.
This is done by setting the PWM offset mode true:
set hm2_7i96s.0.pwmgen.00.offset-mode true
Note that you must use an additional output to control spindle enable
because the analog out will start up at full negative speed when linuxCNC
is not running
