Mesa 5i24-25 stucked

TX0B and TX3B need to be enabled specifically
(This is described in the 7I52S manual page 10 and controller pinout page 4)

If you are using the first connector, I/O bits 0 and 23 must be set low to enable TX0B and TX3B. You can do this by setting the "is_output" parameter of those pins.

On the second connector with a 7I52S, the enable pins would be I/O bits 24 and 47

Ohw I think i am novice in Linuxcnc i have read it in manual but i thought it will be done in firmware (bitfile) and also have read about is_output in lcnc hm2 documentation

So i am using first connector (P4 of 5i24) for Stepgen and pwmgen and 6 encoder and second connector (P3 of 5i24) for 6 encoder and 6 sserial so yes to enable TX0B and TX3B i have to set io bit 0 and 23 by following syntax in hal file

hm2_5i24.0.gipo.0.is_ouput true
hm2_5i24.0.gipo.023.is_output true

Is that right

And do I need to set io bit 24 and 47 "is_output" to utilise all smart serial chanel ?

No, sserial firmware handles the enables

That's about right, but to determine actual hardware names run:

halcmd show all hm2 > hardware.txt

When linuxcnc is running

Now you have a list of all hardware pins and parameters (in hardware.txt)
you can use as a copy/paste source for editing your hal files
