I would back to the Brother controller and measure all I/O pin voltages on
CN8 when its operating to figure out what the drive needs to be enabled

Ok got some interesting numbers. Pin 1 to 2 was the voltage desired. All Ok there
pin 17 to 18 was continuity at all times.
The word one was pins 14 15 and 16
14 to 16 was 22.5 volts
pins 14 to 15 caused a fault and trip thru my meter.
So how do I get the voltage to pins 14 and 16 thru the card and in the future how would I configure it

You should be able to measure between 14 and 15 without causing a fault
but make sure the meter is in voltage mode
do not ever use Ohm range or continuity test when power is applied

22V simply means that 15 is not shorted to pin 16 (GND) and that is its open
(I assume you measured +22 V from 15 to 16)
You should measure the same with the 7i77 connected since we are not using
pin 15
I would also measure between CN9 pins 19 and 2 (Torque reference)

pin 14 to 16 and pin 15 to 16 are both 22 volts
pin 19 to pin 2 showed no voltage
about 6 volts constant between 14 and 15
I get these readings weather the servo is activated or not.
Any ideas would be great

So you are saying that when the Brother controller is connected and the drives are running,
CN8 pin 14 measures +22V and CN8 pin 15 measures +22V both relative to CN8 pin 16?
Is there more information on the start input in the drive manual? perhaps its a momentary low to start

the voltage is constant even if the motors are not on

That doesn't answer my question
What is the voltage on CN8 pin 14 and pin 15 relative to CN8 pin 16 when the drives are running
