1.Do you have 7I77 firmware installed in the 7I92
2. What error message do you get?

just from here i didn’t install any firmware update. i did update and upgrade.. i enter ip manually on linuxcnc install because right click on editing connection doesn’t work. pc is dell980 with tplink adaprer for wireless and it works.

after i update firmware to 7i92, there is new bug report. also i attach ini and hal.
 

Yes Tom i already did it but i didn’t reload.. now i am on the line to install pc again and will try again. Thank you very much!

i think yes but can’t be sure.. for half hour i will try again waiting now to finish install pc. btw its the same network not access to “edit connection” and as i see i don’t have permission to install network manager again.. we will see what should happen later when attach pc.

I managed to delete wicd, I managed to install network manager, I managed to update the firmware on 7i92 (when I worked w4-w12 were in setup mode), I managed to reload mesaflash, the pc has a connection to 7i92 ping 10.10.10.10 works , w1 is in the left hand, on all 5 pins there is 24v and on the last gnd. BUT .. the situation is still the same, people fly to the moon and I can't get into the configuration

The error shown is on line 26 in the hal file

I don't see the ref  [HMOT](CARD0) in the ini file.
   So try just try and comment it out with a #    like #setp [HMOT](CARD0).stepgen.timer-number 1

To see if it loads
