Hi again
After long time i received the mesa 7i76
i watch this video on you tube
very detailed but in German so i cant understand a word
i run the Pncconf wizard to create a test configuration it with no success
Here is the debug message the hal and the ini file
In the mesa 7i76e i only connect the 5 volt power supply all the switches in default
Distributor ID: Debian
Description: Debian GNU/Linux 7.9 (wheezy)
Release: 7.9
Codename: wheezy
3.4-9-rtai-686-pae
any suggestions??

You need to use the uspace version of LinuxCNC for Mesa Ethernet cards
The easiest way currently is to use the LinuxCNC/Debian_Stretch test ISO here

i got the same as you and use
linuxcnc-stretch-uspace-amd64-r13.iso
but i updated to 2.8 master linuxcnc uspace

i try to install linuxcnc with the MINT 18.3
I follow this gnipsel.com/linuxcnc/uspace/linuxmint18-rt.html

then i follow this tutorial

as a result i see this in cms file but there is nothing in the applications like linuxcnc

It's probably easier not to use Mint at this point, just use the LiveCD that PCW linked to to create a known-good setup that ought to work.

You will not have any icons/paths setup if you just built a RIP version of LinuxCNC or built a deb.
If you built a deb, you need to install it, if you did a RIP build you need to source the path setting script: source your_installation_directory/scripts/rip-environment, and the run LinuxCNC from the command line.
