The remap code can be G-code, Python or any executable file.
If you need to move the axes then it is much easier to use G-code.
In fact i think that you need a very good reason _not_ to use G-code.

Yannis, did you solve your mass i have a similar situation with intermac edge 2300x4000 mm which has 10 + 10 tools but no experience with tool replacement in linux, i also worked with MACH3 but it is not the same procedure.
Do you have an example of how you solved your machine?

Hi again
i want to ask something for the 7i76e wiring with the drivers
i will use 3 different type of drivers
1) mitsubishi MR C20A with 200 watt motor
2) AD Tech QS7AA030M with 1.5 kw AD Tech servo
3) DMM DYN4-T01A2-00 with BUALTZ 1.8 kw servo
For the Mitsubishi i manage to connect it with UCCNC Ethernet board
and it was working fine
When i try to connect it with the 7i76e i have motion always in the same direction(when i have similar problem in other boards it was something with ground) the motor is locked
I try wiring like 1) all 6 cables 2)positive connection and negative in 0 volt 3)negative connection and positive to 5 volt
For the AD Tech QS7AA030M and the DMM DYN4-T01A2-00 i will send info when i m ready

It seems you need stepgen type 1, or up and down pulses, not step/dir.

Do you mean that the driver is not capable for position control?
